Introduction to Backpacking. Ages 16 and up. Parent required to accompany minors. Includes: instruction, guide, lunch, dinner, breakfast, and lunch, equipment. A list of personal items to bring sent upon registration. Limited to 8 participants. $75 per person. 2 week advance registration required.

During this day long hike we will hike all the major trails within the park. We’ll begin the day by hiking the Pennyroyal Trail, Lake Trail and Cane trail. Then we will stop for lunch in the dining room. After lunch we’ll hike the Clifty Creek trail, Indian Bluff Trail and the portion of the Pennyrile Nature Trail that is within the park. Lunch in the park’s restaurant is included in the fee. The hike will be led by the park’s naturalist, Rebecca Clark. Registration fee is $24/person.
