Start Date:12/5/2009 10:00 A.M.

Bagpiper, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Harpist, fiddler, and dulcimer, are just part of the many activities in Washington, Kentucky, Dec. 5-6. Step back into the past as you stroll Washington's flagstone sidewalks where our forefathers walked, enjoy the smells of pine and food being served, candle-lit windows, strolling musicians and carolers.

Watch candle dipping at Mefford’s Fort C. 1787 Museum.
Quilting, weaving and hot “Cyder” at the Albert Sidney Johnston House C. 1797 Museum.
Crafts and food at Paxton Inn C.1810 Museum.
Displays and food at the Harriet Beecher Stowe C.1897 Slavery to Freedom Museum.
And the annual Vesper Service Sunday at 4:00 pm in the C. 1848 Old Church Museum.

Come, warm your heart and rekindle the spirit of yesterday with the scents and sights of early days in Washington, 4 miles south of Maysville on old US 68, an easy 59 miles NE of Lexington, 50 miles west of Portsmouth, Ohio, 90 miles W of Huntington, 51 miles east of Cincinnati, (take Wilder Exit #77 off I-275 onto Route #9 – also known as the AA Highway), then turn right at the light by Wendy’s onto US 68, turn left at the second light up into Old Washington.
